Crawler Bulldozer

Crawler Bulldozer

Bulldozer is an earth-moving engineering machine mainly used for excavation, transportation and disposal of rock and soil. The bulldozer was first developed by American Benjamin Holt in 1904.

The original power was a steam engine, which was later developed into a natural gas and gasoline engine. Bulldozers are not only used for auxiliary work, but also for major mining work, such as stripping and mining of sand deposits, traction and boosting of scrapers and plows, etc.

Bulldozers can be classified according to different standards:

1. According to engine power:

Small bulldozer: power below 37kW.

Medium bulldozer: power between 37-250kW.

Large bulldozer: power above 250kW

2. According to walking mode:

Crawler bulldozer: large traction, small ground pressure, strong climbing ability, suitable for heavy load and complex terrain operation areas. ‌Tire bulldozer‌: fast driving speed, good maneuverability, suitable for urban construction and road maintenance projects‌

‌3. According to the installation form of the bulldozer blade‌:

‌Fixed blade bulldozer‌: The bulldozer blade is fixed at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the main machine, suitable for small and medium-sized bulldozers.
‌Rotary blade bulldozer‌: The bulldozer blade can rotate a certain angle in the horizontal plane, suitable for large bulldozers‌

Bulldozers are widely used in earthwork projects in various fields such as construction, roads, mining, and water conservancy. On construction sites, bulldozers can be used for leveling sites, excavating foundation pits, and other operations; in road projects, they can be used to fill roadbeds, dig side ditches, and so on; in mining, bulldozers can be used to strip overburden, push ore rocks, and other tasks. In addition, bulldozers also play an important role in farmland water conservancy construction, such as building dams and digging ditches.

In short, as a heavy engineering machinery, bulldozers have a wide range of applications and an important position in earthwork projects. By understanding the basic concepts, main structures, working principles, and application scenarios of bulldozers, we can better understand and use this powerful engineering tool.

1. Crawler chassis: provides stable support and mobility for the bulldozer, allowing it to move freely on rugged construction sites.

2. Bulldozer blade: It is the main working device of the bulldozer, used for cutting and pushing soil and loose materials.

3. Power system: provides power for the bulldozer, usually including engine, transmission system and hydraulic system.

4. Operating system: controls the various actions of the bulldozer, including the lifting and tilting of the blade and the movement and steering of the bulldozer.

When the bulldozer is working, the crawler chassis is driven by the power system, and the operating system adjusts the blade to the appropriate position and angle.

When the bulldozer moves forward, the blade cuts the soil and pushes it to the designated location. By constantly adjusting the position and angle of the blade, and controlling the walking speed and direction of the bulldozer, various complex earthwork tasks can be completed.
