Correct operation steps of the loader

I. Check the vehicle:

1. Check the fuel, cooling water and lubricating oil.

2. Check the reliability of driving and parking brakes.

3. Check the operation of the bucket system when unloaded.

4. Check the items related to the loader in the forklift inspection content.

II. Start:

l. Observe the surroundings before starting. After confirming that there are no obstacles that hinder safe driving, honk the horn first and then start.

2. The brake air pressure gauge reading must reach the specified value before starting.

3. Do not accelerate suddenly when starting, and start smoothly.

III. Driving:

1. Remove the front and rear body safety connecting rods before driving and keep them properly.

2. When driving on a slope, the towing start lever should be in the on position, and the towing start must be forward driving.

3. Changing the driving direction and changing the drive lever must be done after the vehicle stops.

4. When carrying materials, the lower hinge point of the boom should be kept more than 400mm above the ground. The bucket must not be lifted to the highest position to transport materials.

5. Avoid driving sideways on slopes and shoveling materials as much as possible.

IV. Loading and unloading operations:

1. The engine water temperature and lubricating oil temperature must reach the specified value before full-load operation can be carried out. When the water temperature and oil temperature exceed 363K (90℃), the vehicle should be stopped and the cause should be found. Operation can only be carried out when the water temperature is lower than 363K (90℃), otherwise the engine will be damaged.

2. It is forbidden to shovel goods when the front and rear bodies form an angle. Before picking up the goods, the front and rear bodies should form a straight line, align and approach the cargo pile, and at the same time, the bucket should be parallel to the ground, and then pick up the goods.

3. Except for bulk grain, it is not allowed to pick up goods in high gear.

4. It is not allowed to lift the bucket while driving.

5. The bucket should be loaded with goods evenly, and the bucket is not allowed to load goods with one side heavier.

6. Loaders are vehicles used for loading and short-distance transportation of bulk materials. It is prohibited to use buckets for excavation operations.

7. Before leaving the vehicle, the driver should put the bucket on the ground. It is prohibited for the driver to leave the vehicle when the bucket is suspended.

8. It is strictly prohibited to stand under the raised bucket or perform maintenance operations. If it is necessary to repair the vehicle when the bucket is raised, support measures should be taken for the bucket and ensure that it is firm and reliable.

9. It is prohibited to use buckets to lift people for high-altitude operations.

10. It is prohibited to shovel materials directly on the ship at the dock.

11. When working under overhead pipelines, be careful not to hit the obstacles above when the bucket is raised. When working under high-voltage transmission lines, the bucket should also maintain a sufficient safe distance from the transmission lines.

12. When dumping materials for a truck, the bucket must not scrape the vehicle when it flips forward, and the unloading action should be gentle. When unloading a truck, be careful not to scrape the car body with the bucket. During the pushing or scraping operation, the operation should be observed at any time. If the vehicle is blocked from moving forward, it should be operated prudently and should not be forced to move forward.

13. After parking, the reversing lever should be placed in the central position and the front and rear body safety connecting rods should be installed.

V. Precautions:

1. General safety precautions:

① Before using the loader, the driver and relevant personnel must carefully read the operating and maintenance instructions or operation and maintenance manuals provided by the manufacturer and do the matters specified in the materials. Otherwise, serious consequences and unnecessary losses will be caused.

② The driver’s clothing should meet safety requirements and wear necessary protective equipment.

③ In the small or dangerous area of the working area, warning signs must be displayed within the range or at the dangerous point.

④ It is absolutely forbidden for the driver to drive after drinking or excessive fatigue.

⑤ When performing maintenance or inspection operations in the central articulation area, an “anti-rotation rod” should be installed to prevent the front and rear frames from rotating relative to each other.

⑥ After the loader stops steadily, get on and off the loader in a place with a ladder handrail. Never jump up and down when the loader is working or walking.

⑦ When the loader needs to raise the arm for maintenance, the raised arm must be padded to ensure that the arm will never fall under any maintenance situation.

2. Safety precautions before starting the engine:

① Check and ensure that the lighting of all lamps and each display light can display normally. In particular, check the normal display of the turn signal and brake display light.

② Check and ensure that no one is working under the vehicle or near the loader when starting the engine to ensure that the safety of yourself or others will not be endangered in the event of an accident.

③ The speed control handle of the loader should be turned to the neutral position before starting.

④ For a brake system without an emergency brake, the hand brake handle should be turned to the parking position.

⑤ The engine can only be started or operated in a place with good air flow. If it is operated indoors, the exhaust port of the engine should be connected to or facing the outdoors.

3. Safety precautions after the engine is started and during operation:

① After the engine is started, wait until the brake pressure reaches the safe pressure before preparing to start to ensure the braking safety during driving. If there is an emergency brake, press the button of the emergency and parking brake valve (the button can only be pressed when the air pressure reaches the allowable starting pressure, otherwise it will automatically jump up when pressed), release the emergency and parking brakes, and then start in I gear. If there is no emergency brake, just put down the parking brake handle and release the parking brake to start.

② Clear the faults on the loader’s walking road, and pay special attention to obstacles such as iron blocks and ditches to avoid cutting the tires.

③ Adjust the rearview mirror so that the driver can have the best vision after sitting.

④ Make sure that the loader’s horn, reverse signal light, and all safety devices can work properly.

⑤ When you are about to start or when checking whether the steering is flexible and in place, you should first honk the horn to warn the surrounding people to pay attention to safety.

⑥ Before starting to walk, all control handles, pedals, and steering wheels should be tested once to make sure they are in normal state before starting to work. Pay special attention to checking whether the steering and braking are intact. Make sure that the steering and braking are completely normal before starting to run.

⑦ When traveling, place the bucket at a height of about 400mm from the ground. When working on a slope in a mountainous area or crossing obstacles such as ditches, you should slow down, make small turns, and be careful to avoid tipping. When the loading surface begins to slide to one side on a steep slope, it must be unloaded immediately to prevent further sliding.

⑧ Try to avoid too many tires and excessive slipping during operation; try to avoid two wheels hanging in the air, and do not allow only two wheels to continue working.

⑨ When working as a tractor, it is only allowed to be connected to the traction device. No one is allowed to stand between the towed object and the loader, and a certain safety distance must be maintained to prevent safety accidents.

4. Safety precautions when stopping:

① The loader should be parked on flat ground and the bucket should be placed flat on the ground. When the engine is turned off, it is necessary to repeatedly pull the operating handle of the working device to ensure that each hydraulic cylinder is in a pressure-free rest state. When the loader can only be parked on a slope, the tires must be padded.

② Place various handles in neutral or middle position.

③ First take away the electric lock key, then turn off the main power switch, and finally close the doors and windows.

④ Do not park in areas with open flames or high temperatures to prevent the tires from exploding due to heat and causing accidents.

⑤ When using a combination valve or air tank to inflate the tire, people must not stand in front of the tire to prevent explosion and injury.
