As a common road compaction equipment, rollers are now widely used in various construction industries and urban construction. However, in the actual operation process, since most people do not know the correct usage rules, many problems arise during use
1. Make sure the diesel engine throttle handle is in the medium speed position (wait for the roller to start and then move to high speed). Press the clutch pedal to cut off the power.
2. Push or pull the forward and backward handle in the direction of travel. Determine the driving speed of the roller according to needs, and turn the gear lever to the required gear. The first gear is for work efficiency, the second gear is for both work and transportation speed, and the third gear is for transportation speed. It is only allowed to travel on a good straight road. Lower the wrench brake. Release the clutch pedal.

When the roller moves forward or backward, you should first try whether the foot brake is sensitive. Note: When stepping on the foot brake, do not use too much force, and be careful not to forget to step on the clutch first.
3. Turn the steering wheel and try it in place to see if the hydraulic steering gear is effective and reliable. Pull the engine throttle handle back to make the engine reach full speed. Note: When changing speed or reversing, the roller must first reduce the engine speed to reduce the speed of the roller; before changing speed or reversing, the main clutch must be stepped on, otherwise the gear will wear or break early.
4. Gently push or gently move the speed change or reverse handle until the gear is fully engaged. When operating the reverse handle, the action should be smooth and fast, and do not use too much force. First put it in the middle position and stop for a while (about 10 seconds) to reduce the inertia of the roller moving forward or backward, then pull the reverse handle and put it in place to ensure that the gear is fully engaged.
5. When going uphill or downhill, use the first gear speed, and the speed change should be performed before going uphill or downhill (it is strictly forbidden to change gears on the slope). When going uphill, the gear lever must not be placed in neutral and the clutch must not be disengaged. Emergency braking: step on the clutch pedal. When using the foot brake, do not use too much force. In an emergency, you can tighten the handbrake at the same time.
6. Try to avoid emergency braking when the roller is at high speed, otherwise it will reduce the service life of the braking system.
Turn on the left turn signal or the right turn signal switch, and the corresponding turn signal will light up.
When the roller is running at high speed (third gear), the throttle handle should be operated to reduce the roller’s speed
Turn the steering wheel to the left (or right) to turn the roller.
Note: Be careful when steering to prevent the rear wheel of the roller from driving off the roadbed or crushing the road curb.
Precautions for operating a roller–Parking
Pull the throttle handle to the medium speed position to reduce the roller’s speed. Step on the clutch pedal, put the forward and reverse handle in the middle position, put the gear lever in neutral, and release the clutch pedal. Pull up the handbrake. Gradually reduce the engine speed and run at the total speed for 3-5 minutes to reduce the engine temperature. Then pull up the flameout door and turn off the engine. Start the ignition switch counterclockwise to the original position to cut off the circuit. Turn off the power switch.
